Welcome to the Owner's Locker Forums!
This is the place to meet other Members and share ideas on how a purple Locker can make your time in Orlando feel a little more like home. It's also where you get to tell us how we did, what we can improve and to what you want us to do next. It's really your company after all--we're just here to implement your suggestions!

Anything you wouldn't put in OL?
A cinnamon roll from the Magic Kingdom bakery (not that it would last long enough so we COULD put it in our locker).

The only surprises you experience with Owner's Locker service should be pleasant ones! Did we make your life easier? Can we do anything better?

What do you think of the Locker , the dividers and the "jewelry box"? Does it work for you? Should we change anything?

The purple Locker you are using is just the start. We're working on Golf, Tennis, Christmas and Clothes Lockers as well as an "Out of the Box" feature for large items and a rental service for things like printers and game consoles. You tell us what we should do next.

Owner's Locker is an incredibly personal experience. How does it help you feel more at home when you're here? What special things have you been able to do because of us?

Ok, admit it. Some of you are such incredibly good packers that you can design creative ways of getting more in your Locker than the rest of us. Come on, what are your secrets?

It IS your Locker and if you think it might make a nice canvas, have at it...but do share your thoughts and perhaps a picture or two!

Orlando Dining-Eating Outside the Bubble
Not only is there life outside the 42 square miles, there are also some darned good restaurants that are well worth the trip. Get some ideas of the ones we think are worth a detour and share your ideas.

Well, it's not very far outside the bubble, but there's not a Disney restaurant in sight. There's a great selection of fun restaurants in this cute little town and it's well worth the trip just to try something different.

Head out I-4 East toward Orlando and turn left on Sand Lake Road (away from International Drive). After about half a mile, you'll see restaurants and bars on both sides of the road. This is where the locals go and there is quite a variety of excellent restaurants in all price ranges.

It's definitely a bit of a drive from the attractions, but it's like Downtown Disney without the tourists. There's an explosion of condos in downtown Orlando and the restaurants and bars are in hot pursuit of the growing crowds.

Ok, so it's not around the corner...you get on the I-4 and head east....PAST Orlando and turn right onto Fairbanks Avenue At first it looks a bit questionable but if you turn onto Orlando Avenue or, even better, go down to Park Avenue you'll find some really enjoyable restaurants in extremely pleasant surroundings.

Ok, you can call it I-Drive. Out I-4 East past Sea World, there are several exits (Sand Lake and Kirkman). Turn right and you'll run into an incredible tourist zone...but among all of the not-quite Disney attractions, there are some really interesting places to eat

The Locker Room
How could we resist calling our community area this? There are loads of social networking areas on other sites but if the mood strikes you while on our forums to go completely off-topic, have at it. This forum is largely unmoderated and you can bring up about any subject you'd like.

One of the pleasant surprises about Owner’s Locker is the people. I’m lucky enough to live near where our Members want to visit and I’ve really enjoyed meeting, talking to and e-mailing lots and lots of you. And, being a vacation club owner myself who always thought of Orlando as my second home, I’ve been struck by just how much many of us have in common with each other. To be sure, there are lots of different personalities but a funny thing happens when different people like the same thing: they tend to like each other. So, with that in mind, this forum is designed for our Members to pretty much do whatever you want. There are quite a few other sites where you can chat, play games and interact. The last thing we want to do is replace or duplicate what goes on at any of them. And, let me get one thing out of the way quickly. I really don’t seriously think a storage Locker is going to become the center of anyone’s life. But I do believe that people who think Owner’s Locker works for them also have a whole host of other characteristics, likes and dislikes in common. I would even suggest that Owner’s Locker Members have pretty much been pre-selected to like each other. So, let’s see where this goes. Please be inclusive—especially with newcomers. And, as I used to say to my kids, “play nice.” John

Apparently, it is the hot thing to take all of those wishes and desires and goals that have been kicking around in the back of your head and come up with an actual "to do" list--things you'd like to accomplish while on this planet. Here's mine.

The Owner's Locker discussion forums were originally set up to interact with our 100 volunteer Beta Trial Members who helped us put the finishing touches on Owner's Locker prior to our launch on May 3, 2007. This Archive contains the threads used during the Beta Trial. They're closed now but we just couldn't bear to erase them so they're tucked away here just in case we need to refer to them.
