Never really thought of Sandlake as restaurant row, figured that title fell to SR 535.

Anyway, Melting Pot - http://www.meltingpot.com/-is a chain type restaurant, but far superior to your Red Lobsters, Olive Gardens and Lonestars. It is a fondue restaurant where you do your own cooking off a platter of very tempting raw treats. Here is the current Sandlake location menu - http://www.meltingpot.com/Orlandofl/images/Orlando.pdf- which has been changed since we were there last. Both times, we went with their "Big Night Out " prix fix menus and were not disappointed.

Your seated in very secluded "cove" like booths, very romantic for tha special occassion.

Wine list was adaquate, although I am by far notan authority on wine. They had selections for all price ranges, which I appriciate.

While it is a little on the pricey side, I highly recommend trying it at least once.

Restaurant row is a term locals (ifI can call myself that, yet!) use for the Sandlake Road area. There's a huge residential area (Windermere and Dr. Phillips) on one side and it the OrangeCounty Convention Center is on the other. if you can go there between conventions, there are some really interesting places to eat. Thanks for your post on the Melting Pot. There are some really nice restaurants around Orlando and with the arguable "dumbing down" of some of the restaurants inside the bubble, it's nice to have some options.
