Gaylord Palms???

Does anyone know anything about Gaylord Palms?

Is it worth the price?
Thought maybe in Sept. we would stay our last night on the road instead of up in Lake City.

Never stayed, but shortly after it opened Mil & I toured the interior; incredible.

I've heard many good things about it, never anything bad.

Give it a shot.

We stayed there for one night this past Easter.

We had a hotwire room. I think we paid $129 for the night, plus resort fees. All told it was *about* $150. There is also a parking fee.

The resort is beautiful. The room was was nice, including a computer with internet access. We weren't there long enough to try the pool, but it looked great. Very peaceful with the palm trees, etc. We ate dinner at Sunset Sam's, the casual seafood place. Good food, very relaxing, Buffett music playing. Not a cheap meal though.

Overall, very nice, but even with a discounted price, it isn't a cheap place. I think they cater to business people who typically write off most of their expenses.
