Yes, I removed the dividers to make more room. But, I began to get tired of unpacking everything when we needed just certain items, mainly when we are in a studio or a really short trip.

Now, I have individual boxes, grouped mostly by where it is used. I have a "bathroom" box, kitchen box, snacks, main area (router, notepad, etc), ponchos, etc. I still have the tackle-style box and I tuck a few things around the boxes. Pack-rat that I am, I did have to modify my disappointment that I wasn't using every square inch of space, but it is more than offset by the time saved unpacking and then re-packing at the end of the trip.

Don't be fooled by the pics - I had already started to unpack when I decided to take the pics. Also, our hampers and refillable cups (2) are missing from the picture of the "stuff".

I will agree with you. I took the dividers out as well and it seems more disorganized now than it was before. I have been thinking about going the same route with containers along with a floor on top of the dividers. However, I'm not sure about real estate consumption by the containers.

What size containers did you use and where did you buy them (at home or Fl)?

Digging through stuff when in a studio was the first problem that I began having (besides running out of room). So, I decided to go ahead with a second locker and move the less significant and supplies for longer trips to the second locker leaving only the necessary essentials in the first for the studio and shorter trips.

Now, I am trying to organize the first locker with the necessary items better and thought of the plastic shoe box containers along with putting a floor on top of the dividers to make better use of the space. Later on I'll deal with the second one.

I'm on the fence as to which strategy to go with.

KDZGON - thanks for the clear bins idea for storage rather than the dividers. My husband want to know what size and type of bins you use.

I don't use boxes in mine, but I do have a fanny pack that I use to store lots of my toiletries in (toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, floss, etc). I originally used the plastic tackle box that came with my locker, but found that I wasn't really utilizing the spaces within it very well, so I bought a mickey fanny pack at a gift shop, and have been using it ever since! I love it!

I am thinking of using packing cubes like the eagle creek ones to store stuff like my chargers and stuff like that.

I only use some of the dividers to make a perimeter around my locker, and I store my full sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and stuff against the side wall. I also have my spare shoes and sandals standing up against that side walls (ususally I shove spare socks or glasses inside them.

Lots of cool ideas. I can't wait until December to open my box, it has been two years since I've seen what is in there.
