View Full Version : Ideas for 1st OL trip?
I have a list of about 30 things to pack in our OL already :D But our first trip using it is next weekend and it's a short one. Since we won't be making a grocery stop this time, I won't be able to stock up on the full size detergents, shampoos etc. Also, we're trying to bring only 1 big suitcase for all 4 of us. (Yeah, like THAT will happen LOL) We'll be returning again in October for 12 days with the extended family.
What other things can you think of that I can put in our locker that I can either bring from home or pick up at Disney? I already have a short mini list going....DVD's, pick up a board game or two from Once Upon a Toy, sunscreen, tylenol, DD's "swimmies", a journal (thanks to Rozzie's idea ;) ).
Any other advice? Thanks!

Stimpy, with four of you, I am going to assume you will be in a one bedroom.
For Ron and I, we stay in studios and it is important for us to have real plates and silverware.
We have a wine opener and special glasses, rain ponchos and two umbrellas. A small sewing kit, a fitted queen size sheet. Gal and qt sized zip lock bags. Power Strip and a transportation map that the DVC guides will give you if you ask. It is a map of property.
Other than our stuff is pretty normal (soaps, shampoos, kitchen towels, etc).
Enjoy your first trip. Be sure to report back to tell us what you thought of your locker.
BOOZE -- oh wait, I already took care of that for you! :D
I keep toys and plushes in the OL for the kids, and then they only have to pack sticker games and things that are "low profile" and easily fit in each kid's carry on. We also have an airbed and pump which takes up some room. And booze. Yeah, in addition to what we left for you, I have 3 bottles of over 1/2 filled rum in our OL. I'm getting old!
Thanks for the ideas!
And the drinks Nono! :D I don't know which I'm looking forward to more....my new OL or sitting on the balcony with those Landsharks!

Kimberly,
I think the stuff people put into their Lockers falls into several categories:
1. Your Disney stash--stuff you only use at WDW: ponchos, pins, fans, t-shirts, etc.
2. Stuff you don't want to haul back and forth--toiletries, cooking supplies, liquor, etc.
3. Things that make you feel more at home--pictures, a vase, special glasses, etc.
4. convenience/in case items--sheets, medicines, candles, tools, etc.
5. the little things--salt and pepper shakers, scissors
I'm putting together a master packing list of everything people have told us they keep in their Locker....

John, I love that list you started! I have it marked in my favorites sites, printed it out and refer to it often.
Tools....hmm you have obviously never met my husband. :D The man breaks out in hives if we drive past a Home Depot.....he hates anything related to tools etc. ROFL
