Packing Glasses

Hi, all.

I won't be using my locker for the first time for five more months. However, obsessive planner that I am, I'm already preparing. (As I think of things to add, I'm writing them all down so I don't forget.)

One thing I want to have in my locker is wine glasses. I know I can drink wine out of regular glasses, but it's so much nicer to have wine glasses, and the locker makes that possible.

Any suggestions on the best way to pack these in the locker? I know the locker doesn't get totally thrown around, but I still think I should protect them in some way. I'm not sure how to do it.

We have four wine glasses in our locker and so far John hasn't broken them. Our locker has clothes in it. I just wrap the glasses in them.

I think I'll be adding some "high end" plastic margarita glasses on our next trip. Here's the ones I'm considering...

But obviously, glass would be better. We have a 4 and 1 yr old, who have a habit of knocking things over, esp. on the balcony, so for now, plastic will be our choice!

We added glasses on our last trip. We bought some plastic Mickey ones at MouseGears. They wrapped them in the store for us. We reused their wrap and placed them among "softer" items (baseball caps, pool bag, etc.)in the locker.
I'll let you know how we fared in August.

If the inside of wine glasses are stuffed and the glasses are wrapped, they should be alright. I haven't broken any yet.

In addition to packing carefully using the tips others suggested, I decided to go with wine tumblers rather than stemmed glasses. I'm planning on saving the box they came in and reusing it and I'll place some bubble wrap around it and probably nestle the box on top of a stack of washcloths. :)
