Themeing At A Fort Wilderness Bus Stop: The Everyday Adventures Of the Purple Van May 3, 2010
Isn't it amazing how Disney can make something like a bus stop look special?
You probably don't need me to tell you that this bus stop is at Fort Wilderness.
It's right outside the Reception Outpost (one of my very favorite buildings on WDW property...I want to turn it into a bar, but that's another story!)
But have a close look at the work that has been done here. The benches are made of huge logs and are unlike any you'll see anywhere else.
And check out the rustic roof on the bus shelter that matches the building in the background. The trash can is themed for Fort Wilderness as is the resort directory.
Don't miss the lamp post in the background and the newspaper and soft drink machines to the left that have been made to blend in as much as vending machines can.
A lot of effort by Disney on really simple things that add up to a great guest experience...
