Bottlebrush Tree At Disney's Old Key West Resort: The Everyday Adventures Of The Purple Van April 20, 2010
I know, I know, it's another tree. But after a really rough winter (for Florida at least) the trees are now blooming with a vengeance.
Take the Bottlebrush tree at Old Key West:
One look at the bright red blossoms and it's obvious where this tree gets its name.
I don't know whether you can tell from this photo, but the Bottlebrush tree is a fairly unremarkable specimen...but it more than makes up for it in the spring.
This one is located across Peninsular Road from the Hospitality House near building 62. If you've never been to Old Key West, check out the railings around the balcony...
