The Sassagoula Water Taxi At Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort: The Everyday Adventures Of The Purple Van
The sign reads "Sassagoula Steamboat Company"...but it's really the entrance to the water taxi at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside which serves Downtown Disney, Saratoga Springs and Old Key West in addition to the Port Orleans resorts.
Followers of these Everyday Adventures known how much I go on about the fantastic theming at Port Orleans and here's one more example of why I think these resorts are so special.
With the building, the water towers and the landscaping, this could well be the entrance to an attraction in one of the parks. But it's just another example of how the imagineers have made something simple...in this case a boat dock...look beyond special.
I've said it before...the Port Orleans Resorts (Riverside and French Quarter) are worth a visit just to walk around. Stop by for a meal or a drink and take plenty of extra time to soak up the atmosphere...
