A Rather Large Cell Phone At Disney's Pop Century Resort: The Everyday Adventures Of The Purple Van January 2, 2010
Now that we have completed the Holiday Edition of The Everyday Adventures Of the Purple Van...it's back to business...
Our first stop for 2010 is Disney's Pop Century Resort which is where you'll find huge icons like this 50 foot tall cell phone.
Pop Century is one of the largest hotel complexes in the U.S. and has almost 3000 rooms. So large landmarks like this are very helpful navigation tools!
Pop is one of Disney's "value" resorts and is themed around the last five decades of the 20th century. This cell phone lets guests know that these rooms are in the 90's section. To get an idea of its size, the rollerblade is about 10 feet tall.
Believe it or not, there are several of these phones, and in true Disney fashion, each is displaying a different message...this one features the phone number for Disney Dining...
