The Arcade At Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort: The Everyday Adventures Of The Purple Van October 20, 2009

The theming just never stops at Disney's Port Orleans Resorts.

This is the arcade at Port Orleans Riverside and it looks like anything but the entrance to a room full of electronic games.

In fact, I think these resorts look like a bunch of buildings that were turned into hotels rather than resorts that were made to look like old buildings

I think this arcade looks more like the entrance to a riverboat ticket office with the destinations listed: Natchez, Baton Rouge and Port Orleans.

All of the Disney resorts are worth a visit to just slowly walk around, enjoying the architecture, landscaping and theming but I've got to say I have a particular fondness for Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter Resorts.

And, as busy as we are delivering Lockers and strollers, I often can't resist a short detour like I did this morning to catch details like this.

You can get to the arcade by walking out of the lobby at Riverside and turning right.

I agree. I've stayed at resorts on WDW property from Deluxe to Value, and I still have such a fondness for the PO resorts...I do feel transported to the Antebellum South...and heck, I'm from Michigan!
