Port Royale Centertown at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort: The Everyday Adventures of the Purple Van July 20, 2009

This is Centertown at Port Royale at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. It's where the shops, food court and pool are located. You really can't see much in this photo beyond the landscaping but I've done that on purpose.

Caribbean Beach Resort was Disney's first moderate resort but that didn't mean that they didn't bother theming it. It's also aged gracefully as the landscaping has matured making the place incredibly lush.

I really like the multi-trunked palm tree that is in the center of the roundabout. It's a fantastic specimen. And the flags of the various Caribbean nations really give it the island feel.

I definitely think Caribbean Beach is worth a visit to at least drive through. If you can, stop for a while and enjoy the shops. Something tells me I'll be sharing more pics. I really, really like this place.
